Re: Build Thread: Ramsay CNC Plasma Question

Y and Z work, but not X. Different problem now. I reset the parameters for X servo again, still doesn't work. Also switched the servos on x and y. Used the x wiring on y servo and Y servo worked to drive x axis. So it's not the x motor or the wiring. The X servo is not working. I've checked the para...

Re: Build Thread: Ramsay CNC Plasma Question

Nice machine! Thank you for the pointer. Great, that worked through the onboard DB25 for the z-axis. Now I'll hookup the x and y and rearrange the board. Odd it won't work through the H1/H2/H3. I've asked the technician at the motor manufacturer for help tuning, will keep you informed of their answe...

Re: Build Thread: Ramsay CNC Plasma Question

Do you have a diagram of the Ste, Ena and Dir output values, ranges, meaning for H1, H2 and H3?
Is there a manual on the Acorn, other than the installation manual?

Re: Build Thread: Ramsay CNC Plasma Question

Thanks for promptly sending the replacement, it arrived this morning. What we need, of course, is to get the motors running asap. The new diagram, below, from the manufacturer is manifest in the wiring, which includes the enable signal, which I prefer to always enabled. So this afternoon I hope to g...

Re: Build Thread: Ramsay CNC Plasma Question

I just posted what I was given as was requested by the Build Thread instructions. The Google drive is not mine, but the manufacturers. Centroid team claimed on the phone that the wiring diagram was "right". Your instructions were explicit, hook up the 24v to the digital input lines, along ...

Re: Build Thread: Ramsay CNC Plasma Question

You guys provided the wiring diagram, it was not even the right motor. So there went your "expert" status. The pin 3 was listed as an Input Voltage on the diagram. As I already said, the seller sells other brands as well, including those you recommended, Leadshine and Delta. Take it from a...

Re: Build Thread: Ramsay CNC Plasma Question

The drives are a kind of standard in the industry, with different manufacturers producing similar electronics.
