All,
Thank you for the replies. This was kind of dumb of me, but if anyone is in the same situation, the fix is just to jog before you have homed. Then you can jog anywhere.
Regards,
Chris

Limit Switch Defeat button does nothing
Hello, There is a button called "Limit switch defeat" on the standard skin. My limit switches are also my home switches and are set up as inputs FirstAxisHomeOK etc.etc. I needed to, just one time, jog past the limit switch to find the new location for the "finger" that triggers ...

Re: BETA Volumetric Compensation available to try out.
As someone with a welded base and no CNC to lay out all the holes for the rails and plates (chicken and egg problem), and as much as I'd like to say that my beloved optical centerpunch is perfect, I am really looking forward to this. I hope I can just throw on my 12" $40 amazon granite plate ag...

Not sure if "- Added some protection for startupOptions.ini to ignore blank lines and lines containing excess null terminators and other 'garbage'" was a direct result of my last post, but if so, and regardless, you guys are superstars and I am dumbfounded by the quality, responsiveness of...

Re: Axis Brake Release and Drive Enable
Thabk youso much cncKeith! Also, changing axisNLimitOK to axisNHome worked. I believe the brake issue got taken care of, it disables on first jog now. As a personal update, tool touch off, ATC, limits and probing all working! Still lots to do (enclosure and coolant, macros for quickly finding center...

Re: Axis Brake Release and Drive Enable
1) I fat fingered the code you corrected when typing, that was what was entered into the cnc.hom. Sorry about the confusion, and good catch. 2) I look forward to changing the inputs from FirstAxisMinusLimitOK to HomeAll tonight. 3) I will rewire my PNP limit switches in series as shown in the image....

Re: Axis Brake Release and Drive Enable
Thank you for you reply Shawn. Haha, I don't know why I called it an e-brake, must have been from habit! I meant Z Brake. 1) Sorry about lack of report, see attached, as well as the schematics for my machine. I know they are pretty busy, but the brake and outputs are on page 4. You can search for co...

Axis Brake Release and Drive Enable
Hello, I am running a centroid Acorn6 with a scout board to drive 3 motors, x y and z. The z axis has a brake that releases with 24V. The relay (#11) that controls this brake releases it when cycle start is pressed upon power up. My motors' enable pin are wired to the En pin for that axis on the sco...

Re: E-stop contactor to cause spindle to free spin
So I just had an idea 💡 What if I put an Omron H3DK right before the contactor and set it in off-delay (B mode) for say 3 seconds. I could use it to delay cutting the power to the VFD allowing for the stop command to brake the spindle before curring power. Anyone do any thing like this? Am I overthi...

E-stop contactor to cause spindle to free spin
Hello, The published suggested schematics for the acorn6 show the e-stop circuit pulling an input to ground, and through a relay opening a contactor before a VFD (not in between the motor and the VFD). It seems to me this would cause the spindle to free spin. My VFD ( DZB300) has a stop command (set...
