G'day Joey
Yes the dip switches are definitely set to 3200
No it didn't help ... so I tried to set the P230 ( curve speed multiplier ) to 5% maybe slow it a bit more .. but minimum you can go is 10%
So I just changed P223 to 150 as a starting point... He'll be testing it out tomorrow morning .. I'll ...

Re: Speed around corners
Hi Joey
The machine is using CL86Y drivers for all three axis
Attached are photos of the gantry rack & pinion. I'm not cleaver enough to tell you the gearing in this thing. However, I can tell you best " Overall Turns Ratio " I can get for X Y is 29ish mm/turn.
This figure falls just outside the ...

Problem Found and Solved

Main problem apart from that was that the previous tech who installed MACH3 and some Ebay THC went and re-wired the Hypertherm connector wiring/pins.

Re: Laser Alignment
OK so that's not happening for me...
I copied a new mfunc35 file into the directory, thinking maybe there was something wrong there ...
I set the XY pointer offsets back to zero in the wizard..
none of those have worked

Re: Laser Alignment
Joey,
Hi ... That's exactly what I'm doing .. test fire, then click " Laser Set XY " follow the on screen macro instruction to set the offset
After this is done, I want to move to a piece which requires cutting, I need to select start point on that piece ... that's where I'm saying its losing the ...

Re: Laser Alignment
Hi Joey,
Thanks for the solution ... it sort of worked :( :(
Following your suggestion, the DRO indeed said-68, +5
OK, so here's the problems;
Yes, it see an offset and displays that offset on DRO, but when you actually want to set the corner of you work piece (X0,Y0) it loses that offset.

Laser Alignment
I'm trying to set the offset between the plasma nozzle and the laser pointer;
the measured offset is -68(x) 5(y)
I've tried editing the mfunc35.mac and entering the above G92 X[-68] Y[5]
That didn't work ...
Then added the numbers into Acorn Wizard >> Input Devices >> Cross hair laser setup
Didn't ...
