Re: Kitamura Mycenter Zero - DELTA Ethercat Retrofit

Little update. Unfortunately I don't think my servos will arrive today. So it will have to wait till next week.

Re: Rough Motion on Circular Toolpaths

Open the oscilloscope function of your servo. Measure the frequency of the ossilation. And use the built in notch filter to remove that oscillation.

At least, that is how it works wirh delta servos.
All indications, to me are servo tuning related.

Re: Rough Motion on Circular Toolpaths

Happen to be running servos? I have had issues before when using a gantry and servos that when you have a machine which is not very stiff, thus servos cant be really tuned to be very dynamic. Then when you do quick circles, it does not go as smooth as you would have hoped. But all aims at mechanics....

Re: Analog Out weirdness, please help

I'm not well versed in centroid. But does not have some kind of compensation so you can just calibrate whatever offset or error out?

Re: Analog Out weirdness, please help

This could be either the DMM analog input stage being influenced by acorn or vice versa. Snubbers, etc are not going to solve that. As this is a (slow) analog signal and not a high-frequency changing signal. Another potential issue is that both suppliers are not on the same reference . In that case ...

Re: Kitamura Mycenter Zero - DELTA Ethercat Retrofit

Good to hear. I there is not much distance between the servo and the spindle so it is probably fine. Worst case just DIY something. My servos get delivered tomorrow  . I guess it is a good moment to work on the e-cabinet this weekend. As my construction project at home is on hold as it has ...

Re: Delta ASDA-B2 ACORN WIRING INFORMATION

i see peopel giving you tips and suggestions but you are not following up. That makes it very difficult to help you... Generally if servos don't work it is either IO being set up wrong / connected wrong. In asdasoft status monitor you can see if you get any pulses in, and what the status is https://...

Re: Will Hickory ever support third party I/O?

I would not perse be against that one has to pay like 20 bucks or whatever to get access to the (limited) beckhoff ethercat lib. Beckhoff stuff are the most used ones in the LCNC community: http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?EtherCatDriver Perhaps can just build on top of the development alrea...

Re: Kitamura Mycenter Zero - DELTA Ethercat Retrofit

good to hear. They use it in automotive for a reason i suspect. The bad thing is it can't transfer as much torque as an equivalent "normal belt", s you might need a wider one to accommodate for it. Good that mine has room for a 60mm belt. From the quick data i could find, that should be g...
