Hi, unless i missed something the hickory does not support serial protocol encoders?

I will have a think about what kind of resolution i want for the encoders and if that fits the 1.2mhz limit.

I know centroid has ordered an ethercat card for the Delta C2000 and MS300 VFD's to allow it to be hooked up to ethercat and eliminate all those pesky wires. Could you let us fine folks know how that is progressing?

Hi, I was just thinking about adding scales to the hickory... cause why not :mrgreen: One thing I noticed in the Manual is that the Hickory supports up to 1.2MHz input speed on the encoder input. Which is not bad, but considering if you rapid at 50-60m/min , that limits your resolution of the scales...

I'n my humble opinion, for such high demands, ethercat is probably better

Small update. The fanuc Z-axis has been removed. Now I'm waiting on a new coupler for the delta B3 motor -> kitamura Z axis ballscrew. It differed from the ones on X and Y. In the meantime I have bought a Celtic 14 lathe. so I need to re-organize the garage a bit so it has a place to part :mrgreen:

Those are about 3k , i'm planning to spend about 10% of that haha

pile some money together and send it off to a translation agency. Generally it it is just a fixed fee per word.
Perhaps the local distributor in your country is interested in investing in that.
