Re: AcornSix accuracy issues.
Those stepper drives and 99% of every other STEPPER drive needs to be wired to H14 and H13. The open collector outputs are for servo drives. Wiring stepper drives to AcornSix H1, H2 and H3 connectors is asking for missed steps. I'm sure your drive manual states they work on open collector outputs ...

Here is the beginning of our problem. Is was solved for 99,9% after the firmware update but after a job of 30minutes we still notice a deviation of around 3millimeters.

AcornSix accuracy issues.
Hello,
The past few months we’ve build our first cnc 4x8 router with an AcornSix board.
Unfortunately we are experiencing issues with the accuracy of it. It keeps our head spinning for the last few months.
We got some part in the machine made from wood which we would replace by 15mm aluminum ...

Re: Acorn6 Pronet E Estun Configuration issues
Hi Philip,
Don't know if you found out what your problem was, but we had something familiar with our acornsix. Check our story in the link below. Wrong firmware in the Acornsix board was the problem, centroid installed new firmware and all the problems were fixed.

Re: cnc router is out of alignment after a few movements
Well, it took a while to find out what was wrong, but we've found the problem.
With an oscilloscope we found out that the signal on the DIR cable to stepper driver should be at an constant high voltage (like 24V) and our dir connection was low (under 5V) every once in a while, on that moment the ...

Re: cnc router is out of alignment after a few movements
Hello All,
We were 2 weeks off with Christmans and New Year so it's been a while.
We disconected the pinion from the rack , marked the position, zeroed XY and did the same MDI G1Y314,3007F300. (exactly 10.0 revolutions of the steppermotor). In normal direction the motor did exactly 10.0 revs but in ...

Re: cnc router is out of alignment after a few movements
Allright, got some progress on what and when the problem is happening.
I changed the mounting positions of the proximity sensor by rotating them 90degrees en that they never can get damaged anymore. Adjusted the sensor positions so that after squaring y-master and y-slave are exactly the not ...

Re: cnc router is out of alignment after a few movements
Right after you home the machine is it square? How do you know?
Well, after auto-squaring it is as square is at can get right now, untill the problem is solved and the machine doesn't loose it's place. We've cut a square en both diagonals are within half a millimetre over a distance of 150cm of ...

Re: cnc router is out of alignment after a few movements
Your photo link didn't work for me. Can you start a Google photo album or correct this one?
If after you home the machine and then jog the X axis back and forth and then jog it back to X0 it should never reach your proximity sensor because of your soft limit settings. The proximity switches you ...
