Re: Changing how the ATC button behaves (Lathe)
You could add the G28 code to your cnctch.mac file. The only potential down side to that is that the machine will move to the G28 position for every tool change as you run CNC programs. The lathe goes to the G28 position on every tool change when running a program. That ATC button just makes the tu...

Re: Setting lathe tools with a touch probe V5.08
When you say "tools that point forward", presumably you mean "away from the operator". And when you say boring bar "face away from the front", you mean the insert is pointing toward the operator. As you know, I had problems with lathe tool offsets. I forget the specifi...

Changing how the ATC button behaves (Lathe)
The ATC button in the tool offsets tab will rotate the turret to the desired tool position on the tool turret. I need the ATC button to perform a G28 move before it rotates the turret otherwise my tools will crash into the lathe bed. How do i change the way it operates? Can anyone sugest how i can c...

Setting lathe tools with a touch probe V5.08
I have been using my touch probe to set up my lathe which has a turret and is rear mounted. When setting up the lathe tools using the touch probe I first set up tool number 1 and use the auto touch off to set the Z ref and the X ref in the tool offset page. Lathe tools When setting up tools that fac...

Re: Lathe tool offsets Not saving the correct file V5.08
Why doesn't the report save it like it is on the screen? So as you can print out a copy of the correct figures.

Yes i always save the tool file after every tool probedpascucci_support wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 11:21 am I believe after you make any changes to the tool library, you must save (F10) before exporting, otherwise it will save what was in the tool library before the latest changes were made.

How to set up drills with auto touch off probe. LATHE
I couldn't find this information in the lathe manual. To set up a drill in the lathe tool offsets page using auto tool touch off with a probe. You have to set the X axis ref to the diameter of your probe plus the diameter of your drill that you are setting up. Then you have to set the probe to appro...

Lathe tool offsets Not saving the correct file V5.08 <resolved>
Centroid V5.08 I have been saving the lathe offsets file from the tool offset page. Using export tool offsets button. The file that it saves is not the same as the tool offsets on the screen. It seems to export an older version of the tool offsets file. See photo and file attached. Look at tool 2 an...
