Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit

To confirm; Green is 0 and red is 1? If my turret is aligned to position 5 I should see green-red green-red. This reversed to what I think I read above but follows The truth table from the old Centroid Harding manual

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit

I would guess that the magnet rotor on your turret encoder assembly is out of alignment, so that it continues past the point where it reads the next tool, to where all four sensors are again inactive. I assume that you have INP19 - INP22 wired as current-sourcing inputs, because that would match up...

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit

I was able to home manually M92/Z M26/Z M92/X M26/X. This is what my .hom script will do so it appears to be working. A bit more testing will be done. My next issue is with the turret - after making a tool change the ALT I diag does not seem to show the proper tool, although it is shown on screen T0...

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit

I question about Homing; My current situation is that my -X limit switch is not being triggered, however I believe that for a Lathe Home will be defined by +X. Both+ and - Z limits are working. Can I home the machine with the current deficiency? Can Allin1dc have soft limits set up? What I'm looking...

Re: Tweaking VFD and Centroid Parameters

It is the air that's the problem along with a message about the tool being wrong - I removed the ATC and can get by... My current road block is the air, I'm shopping for a larger compressor but I am not certain the one I'm looking at will ever keep up. I've looked for air consumption for the CHNC 4 ...

Re: Tweaking VFD and Centroid Parameters

I set the VFD to be controlled by the front panel and set the parameters back to what they were prior to calibration and all is good. Then set the VFD To be controlled by Centroid ...still good.

Tweaking VFD and Centroid Parameters

Yesterday I tried to "calibrate" my spindle speed and when all was said and done I started getting Drive Faults. I have a Hitachi SJ-100 VFD -see attached. I was reducing A04, which was set to 60 to get the actual speed of 560 down to the commanded speed of 500. I started getting intermitt...
