Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit
I got it working yesterday. A bit of tweaking of the air motor flow control was the final bit. I took the turret apart and rotated it back to where it was and aligned the reliefs in the bottom cylinder plate to what look like ports...this placed the mark I had made at 12 o'clock. I had lubed all the...

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit
Is this a fine adjustment of the magnet or a timing issue? I get the proper lights on the ALT I screen and the display shows the correct tool that was requested. Is there a way to have the PLC recheck or how do I get past this issue. If I have a turret problem it is not obvious.

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit
I'm sure it's an alignment issue. I do have air going to the motor. I'll go out today and see if it's an easy fix or if I have to take the turret apart. What I will try is to raise the turret unlock the lock and see if I can drop it square to the axis.

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit
Turret parts.JPG Gary I may be looking at the air motor soon...I need to figure out if something I did mis-aligned the motor, since it does not start when the turret is raised. The manual stated I need to mark the position of the index shaft and outer race, which I did - when removing the seal plat...

Re: Hardinge CHNC II+ Hickory LeadShine EL7 Retrofit
Does your CNC12 software start on boot up of your computer?. In may case the sequence doesn't matter if the computer is running before the ALLIN1DC is powered up but I manually run the software. If I start before the ALLIN1DC is ready I will get a similar error. Essentially telling me the board isn't...

Good News Bad Newws
I've been working on pneumatics and specifically a leak that was coming from the turret.. .so that's fixed but along the way something happened so I can not home, move the axes or turn on the spindle. I think I may have a timing issue with the turret but that shouldn't stop everything...right? It's ...

Re: Hardinge CHNC II+ Hickory LeadShine EL7 Retrofit
Gary I will say from the start that reading report files is just a hobby 8-) have you ever used WinMerge ? It's used to compare files.Download it, as it very handy. If you open the two files within your report zip file that begin with Report you will see differences between the two files. For exampl...

Re: No spindle spin up
I tried to spin manually and with MDI. I had a spindle fault that I cleared ...I just gave it a boost by hand and it spun up. I'll keep and eye on it
