It is a shielded cat6 cable. When I first started getting the ethernet error, I thought that my cable had possibly been bent a bit too sharp and that it had been damaged and was the cause of the error. I've tried both cables back and forth both give the same error.

Re: Ethernet Cable error? Z Exceeded?
Finally got a chance to get some pictures of our CNC cabinet. It is actually an old PC box. I'm embarrassed of how it looks. It seemed like a good idea to use the old computer case at the time. As I added more and more things within it got a bit messy.

Sure. I will do that this week when I go there. The machine is set up at a friend's shop.

Re: Ethernet Cable error? Z Exceeded?
While going through the steps listed on TB270 I found it somewhat confusing, often being redirected to pages that seemed to be the same steps. I just looked it over again to make sure I didn't miss anything and I see the Stress Test file. I did not run that. I had done the ping tests and all was ...

Re: Ethernet Cable error? Z Exceeded?
Thanks CNCKeith for replying. We went through the steps on TB270. Turns out I did have a couple things checked off here and there that should not have been. We replaced the computer a while back and I guess when I redid the current one I missed some steps. I had run the PC Tuner, but a couple ...

Ethernet Cable error? Z Exceeded?
My plasma cutter stopped working in the new year and I just left it alone until now. I should have run the report and posted the question right away, but was not able to at the time and now what all happened is a bit fuzzy.(Personal life has been busy and this is basically a hobby machine.)

Re: Please help! I fried my THC!!!
Sorry, I should really have started a new post as this really would be a new topic. I'll run a report on the machine and then re post as a new topic if you prefer.

Re: Please help! I fried my THC!!!
Hi again,
Tonight we installed a float switch to use instead of the ohmic sensor. When we test the automatic touch-off cycle with the Torch Touch-off Button on the VCP it measures exactly as it should. But when we try a test run on the flange file included with the install, the torch moves into ...

Re: Please help! I fried my THC!!!
Update and question:
I got rid of my ProPoint Plasma cutter and purchased a new Everlast with CNC package and a new TX board. I'm planning to fire it up tonight. A couple of questions before I press the button though.
1. I've used the s15195.r1 schematic to wire it up, but I want to run a torch ...

Re: Please help! I fried my THC!!!
I got out to the shop to do some measuring. I brought along an oscilloscope to see what the output of the CNC port on the plasma cutter puts out. I had already measured this with a voltmeter and saw that it maxed at about 3.7 volts What I was not sure of is if there were voltage spikes that were not ...
