Re: CNC Newbie
That is correct. My stepper motor controllers are only for one axis. My machine came this way and I replaced the junk Chinese NMotion controller board with the Acorn. If I was doing it over, I would buy a single multi-axis controller to save space. BUT I am convinced this would make trouble shooting...

Re: Quick Tip: Creating and Restoring from a Report file
Thanks for this video. I accidentally reset my CNC 12 Wizard Configuration and got the opportunity to "learn" and set up my machine the second time. I went much faster, but should of used the report restore.
Thx

Re: CNC Newbie
Sounds like a great project. The Acorn is the right way to go IMO. I wired my Acorn directly to the LeadShine stepper motor controllers via two wires per axis - direction and step. That plus the 5V power supply to the motor controllers and you are in business. Be sure to use the CNC Wizard tool to c...

Re: Any word on the I/O expansion acorn board.
Wow - this sounds like a great add-on. I thought the Acorn Board with CNC 12 controller software and wizard was outstanding... Then I bought the Wireless Remote Plus Generator and my productive went up 10X.... With the additional IO channels the possibilities are enormous. I have to say for the $, t...

Centriod Makes First Part for '58 Chevy Truck project
Been getting familiar with my PM-940CNC with the acorn controller... Finally took a part for my dad's Truck project from Fusion 360 design to finished part. This is a clamping bracket for a 2.25 inch diameter street rod power steering actuator on my dad's 58 Chevy truck. The existing clamp is very w...

Re: First Fusion 360 Part
Dave_C I can see why. This is so much better and I I just barely know how to use it . I have subscription to www.pluralsight.com for tech training and they happen to have about 20+ Fusion 360 training classes. I went thru a couple at 1.5X speed while playing with the software to get the essence of i...

Re: Fusion 360 Post Processor for Acorn?
Thanks Sportbikeryder and Dave_C
I tried a little harder and go the Centroid post process to work. Built a 1400 block program that ran for 60+ mins (me being very cautious on speeds). Not a single error! I am good to go.

First Fusion 360 Part
Took some time and trial and error, but I made my first Fusion 360 part and took it all the way to CNC Milling on my PM-940CNC. Pretty simple in that I wanted to make a tool holder plate with some 1.25" diameter and 1.0" diameter holes. Used a 10 X 15 X .25" plate of Aluminum. Designe...
