Re: My home build - so far so good

Hi Guys, So the machine is working really well, I've setup a network cam over it now so I can just push the button and live a normal life (semi normal). Here's were I'm getting to. At the weekend I'll start to convert the old tool paths from the old machine to the centroid and make a start on the up...

Re: My home build - so far so good

Hi, Good to know that AS does stretch far and wide :) . Not for GBBR, I've developed a recoil system for the PTW platform which gives all the features of GBB. The lower is my version of an MCX (no trades etc) but from a distance it looks pretty close :) and I have an upper to match it which I machin...

Re: My home build - so far so good

Hi Guys, So as I've said before this 4 axis machine has been built for just a single purpose. I'm into something called 'airsoft' (for those that know what that is) and a few years ago I started to develop a product which takes one of the high end airsoft platforms on by a few steps with added featu...

Re: My home build - so far so good

Hi Guys, My 4th axis is now up and running and i've just started stringing together some tool paths with the ATC etc. Its pretty awesome if I do say so myself :) . Still have to fit the motor for the powered tailstock but i'm in no rush for that at present, i'm liking playing with the other bits at ...

Re: My home build - so far so good

Hi Guys, Bit of an update, the ATC is working now I've figured out a crude double pole relay mod for the drive for it (its all in another help post). So here it is, the 1st successful tool change. I still need to align it perfectly and get rid of some shims but I don't care, I'm still calling it a s...

Re: ATC Macro Help

Andy, You could do what you are asking for (very crudely) by adding one line to your PLC program that says: IF OUT7 THEN (OUT5) You could do it less crudely by giving appropriate names to each of the outputs, then using those names; and by adding comments explaining what you are doing and why.
