Re: wired mpg

I think the $300 price tag is to steep.
I see pendants for other systems selling for less than half the price.
I just hooked up an Xbox controller and it may not be as pretty but seems to do the basics of what I need for less than $30.

Re: wired mpg

I have an old wired pendant off of a previous mill. It has buttons for Axis select, a momentary contact that was for saving current point, and an encoder wheel. The encoder wheel is a SUMTAK LGF-027-100 9402-0727 100P/R . It is 5V 160mA. Can this be used on an older Acorn? I believe tne board is rev 2

Re: voltage for OC7 and 8

Thanks. I will go with this board.
The relay coil on mine is 24 VDC. I had a data sheet that showed this that I can not seem to find now!!! And i did test it with the power supply.
But it is big, bulky, and over kill for this application. Ill save it for another project.
Thanks again....

Re: voltage for OC7 and 8

The relay is an Eaton Moeller Series M009B (using parts salvaged from some large machine tools)
Supposedly this unit has a very low current required to hold the coil??
The router is a Dewalt DW618M 12 amp 2 1/4 HP

voltage for OC7 and 8

Can OC7 and 8 handle 24 VDC?
My Spindle is just an on/off router.
Current plan was to switch it on and off from a relay that has a 24 v coil.
I assume i can set M3 to OC7 or 8.

heart beat LED

The instructions say to make sure the Acorn Board is powered up (Power LED and heart beat LED blinking) before turning the PC on and running the Centroid software. My Acorn Board will be in a cabinet and not visible. Is it possible to wire an external LED to the Heart Beat LED that can be mounted to...

Re: Wiring a relay solenoid into Acorn Board E-stop Circuit

I am making a wood router. I would like to have a relay that will disable the 120 VAC to the router motor and the power supply to the servos. I would like the main power switch to turn the 120 VAC on to the 24 VDC supply, the Acorn board and also to my PC power supply. Then a momentary contact switc...

Wiring a relay solenoid into Acorn Board E-stop Circuit

I would like to wire the limit switches and E-stop switch in line with a latching relay.
Will the IN8 terminal be able to power the relay coil.
The contactor is an EATON XTCE009B10T and their website says the coil will draw less than 0.5a
I get 0.13a with a multi-meter.
