I am working to convert a Denford MRC 40 to acorn controller, does anyone know if the msd 556 stepper drives with nema 23 stepper mtoros are compatible?

Has anyone had any experience retrofitting a denford MRC 40 with an acorn controller? It seems like a solid machine just the software and posts are a nightmare. Any help would be greatly appreciated
