Pairing Gantry Motors with the C86

Hi everyone,

I am at the final stages of my CNC Router. I do not have the Pro version of the software and I am trying to get away without it due to budget being tight.

I noticed that I can use hardware pairing if I use the appropriate terminals on the C86. I have read the pairing manual and from ...

Re: VFD and power issue

The easiest solution would be to run a 4-wire 220V service: 2-hots, 1-neutral, and 1-ground. Then hot-to-hot is 220V, either hot to neutral is 120V.

If you don't have access to a neutral, you can run a 3-wire service and add a 220-120V control transformer to your cabinet.

The question is do you ...

Re: VFD and power issue

yes we do that all the time.

it is good practice to have one disconnect when opening the cabinet so it disconnects both the 110 and 220 when the door is opened on the cabinet. this is the way we do it.

Are there significant changes that i would need to make to make the whole panel run off of ...

VFD and power issue

Hi everyone,

I am building a cnc router with the acorn and clear path for my capstone mechanical engineering project and I needed some help.

I currently have this spindle ( https://www.vevor.ca/spindle-motor-c_10130/vevor-cnc-4kw-air-cooled-spindle-motor-er20-air-cooled-mill-grind-engraving-p ...

Sorry I missed that, thanks so much for your help.

Re: Wiring together, C86ACCP, with E-stop, and contactor

You don't connect the contactor to the C86. Have you looked at the Centroid basic wiring diagrams? There's a ton of information on how to wire up the contactor to the Acorn. If you don't fully understand what it is you are doing I urge you to find a qualified person in your area to help you with ...

Re: E stop switch and Contactor

Two NC contacts on your estop are what's used in diagram S15117. A single NC estop switch is what's used in diagram 14953. Yes, they both work and do different functions. The relays on the Acorn relay board are rated for 250 volts so yes, you can run 120v through it. The ratings for the relays are ...

Re: E stop switch and Contactor

As for your contactor, you should tell us what voltages you’ll be switching and if it’s single or three phase power and how many amps on the circuit to suggest something. Also, do you want a 24 volt coil or line voltage? I use both 24 volt and 120v contractors depending on what I have laying ...
