Re: Centroid CNC Software Licensing Upgrade Announcement
As long as the upgrades come with a proper installer, I don't care what the financial part is. But if I'm going to pay, I don't want to also have to do the grunt work of a complete installation every time I upgrade. I've got all six inputs filled, most outputs, laser, rotary, ATC, CHIPS, custom VCP ...

Re: BETA Volumetric Compensation available to try out.
I found out what I was doing wrong. Only one complete table is necessary for adjustment of taper on my fourth axis.
I really like this feature, and it works quite well for what I need.

Re: Centroid CNC Software Licensing Upgrade Announcement
If every release was similar to 5.2, I'd take option #1. That was a pretty big deal!
If they look more like 5.3 (including everything after 5.2), option #2.
These are pretty stark differences, but my personal satisfaction comes down to the value I'm paying for. I don't need to reflexively update.

Re: BETA Volumetric Compensation available to try out.
It's a really useful feature. There are a bunch of informative videos in Keith's first post. The fourth video (Demo VC Video part 4 How to verify with CNC12 and pitfalls) shows that CNC12 adjusts the number of pulses the motor gets in the affected area to ensure it moves the corrected distance. It's ...

I understand. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. If the Gecko drivers are involved its outta my league.

Re: setting up a j tech laser issues
The PWM signal comes from output 2 through the DB25 connector. It does not come out of the output relays.
What you are seeing come out of Output4 is the laser enable signal.
If you haven't looked at the Laser Setup documentation, all of this will become clearer. Note how you need to modify the ...

Re: Post processor for Vcarve with a rotary axis
For Vectric, you'd want to check out what Gary Campbell has done: https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=7078
My rotary runs parallel to the X axis, so I use this guy: https://centroidcncforum.com/download/file.php?id=19750
That uses inverse time mode (G93). Note that the filename needs to be ...

Re: Centroid CNC Software Licensing Upgrade Announcement
and yes we are going to make an updater for v5.50.0 , just can't do it with v5.40.0 as there are a lot of items in v5.40.0 that we need to get into the hands of our customers as soon as possible! updating will become easier for our customers and hopefully reduce the impediment to upgrading ...

Re: Questions about having both 0-10v spindle and PWM laser
I don't understand with GCode how the PWM and 0-10v outputs are differentiated.
M3 controls the spindle. M3 is spindle on clockwise and in G-code you'll see something like S16000 M3. Those speeds are regulated by analog 0-10V.
M37 controls the laser. M37 enables it and the S-commands are ...

Re: Questions about having both 0-10v spindle and PWM laser
I have my diode laser set up as "JTech Laser with Analog Output AC spindle". In other words, the spindle and PWM are controlled independently.
The command to fire the laser in MDI mode is "M37 Sxxx" where xxx is desired power level. M3 is never to be found in G-code for laser work via PWM (at least ...
