Custom Macro for torch on/off

I talked to Joey today about creating a macro so that a first button push of the macro switch will fire the torch and a second would turn the torch off.
I'd like this function so I can easily cut small cuts using the Wireless pendant without needing to stand next to the PC.

Re: Sheetcam Rotary Postprocessor info/discussion

I apologize for not having any updates, life has been busy. I have one that is working , but I had to create custom macros to go along with it. I'll be honest it might not be the prettiest or the most efficient but for the few cuts I have done it seems to be working.

Re: Sheetcam Rotary Postprocessor info/discussion

Joey, I think was I need is a Macro that will do a z reference(this I have), then in sheetcam do a matZ zero with the Gcode. After that we need a macro that does the pierce cycle with no reference to "pierce height" and looks for the torch ok signal to continue to the next line of code. Al...

Re: Hopefully my last control rebuild

So far plasma table seems to be running great, THC seems to work beautify, I also love the fact that the work coordinates from the last time the machine ran and are saved this allows me to keep a job open in sheetcam to keep nesting parts on the same job that was something on the old systems that ne...

Re: Sheetcam Rotary Postprocessor info/discussion

Well I've had a somewhat successful test cut. Just need to clean some of the post up and add a wait for torch OK signal before it starts to move. I forgot to buy some cheap tubing before the weekend so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to buy some material to really do some tests on.

Re: Sheetcam Rotary Postprocessor info/discussion

You’re gonna still need a pierce height or you are gonna ruin a lot of consumables. If your THC is set up correctly and the z axis is set up correctly the THC should follow square tubing just like cutting uphill or corrugated metal. I took pierce height out of the macro so that I could have a const...

Re: Sheetcam Rotary Postprocessor info/discussion

I've recently purchased Sheetcam plugin rotary. I'm setting up my rotary now. Also following Scott's Sheetcam forum post. Round tube cutting I think would work as of now right? It's the square tube that the Z control is needed. Acorn plasma will still take Z positions commands. The Sheetcam square ...

Re: Sheetcam Rotary Postprocessor info/discussion

Here is what I have so far, I created a custom macro m38 that's basically doing just the torch touch off but instead of using the auto_z_zero macro its using an auto_z_offset macro I created. That macro does a reference and instead of going to "pierce height" its always going to go to (0.0...

Sheetcam Rotary Postprocessor info/discussion

Editing this post so it will be easier for someone to get the info they need. The Sheetcam Post that is currently out there for centroid will not work with the rotary plug-in. I'm working on one now and will post it after I test it. Some things that need to be considered if using the plugin in sheet...

Re: Hopefully my last control rebuild

Getting data for the motors is difficult, after searching through loads of different forums I was able to narrow down that the power supply should be 48 volts. There is one spec sheet for the motors in the manual for CandCNC but I think it is purposefully vague. My CandCNC system was running there o...
