Re: Rough Motion on Circular Toolpaths

I'm dealing with same issue/different servo though. I have been trying to correct it but have been unsuccessful so far. Just started all of the sudden.
So I will be following this closely.

Re: ENA1

Shawn I probably could add a gear box, but If this Frankenstein counter weight system Im making(with a drill press)solves the issue. I will design a better one in CAD then machine all the parts. If it doesn't I might purchase a different motor from Teknic. Here is the pic of it so far. Again this is...

Re: ENA1

Lol,

Yeah, starting to wonder about motor choice too.

This is a precision matthews PM940V not a gear head and no gearbox on Z.

The head was probably 50lbs heavier after the partial fill

Re: ENA1

Hi Shawn, Yes 4 blinks. The torque ramps right up when jogging upward in Z then once past 90 or so it alarms out of the MSP tune I bought the machine with motors already on it. It has always faulted z axis I did fill the machine with epoxy granite after purchase though. It faults far more than befor...

Re: ENA1

Hi, I have the control rewired and all the Resends errors cured. The only fault still returning is 9031. I have programmed Acorn to have a no drive fault input(as a test). Z- axis is still shutting down. I try to run the Autotune in MSP and fail(shut down everytime) The following test I did are with...

Re: ENA1

Thanks everyone I decided to rewire my cabinate and relocate it from back to front of the machine. I'm going to make a cleaner wire install and sheild all circuits better. Also shorten the servo cables. I did the software update tonight. I will keep you guys posted once I'm done. I know your help wi...

Re: ENA1

Thanks, Shawn,:) I will do the Google Drive thing. I did see all the resends. The weird thing is this happens a few times when I first power up the machine. Then after roughly the 3rd time. The machine runs and doesn't miss a beat. Just a note(ALL the ENA pins are pulled low and don't have that ugly...

hello, I have been chasing a random drive fault error. some days this happens more than others. Seems to happen more when it's cold outside. It will trip fault even with VFD off(powered down) All my Ena screw term. read 4-ish VDC except Ena1. I have attached images of where I back-probed and the res...
