Re: Buying QueenAnt pro V2 Where to start?

I went with the Stepper Online 3Nm Nema 23 Closed Loop Steppers and CL57T drivers. I had to source my own contactor, build my own panel, and so on. I wasn't fond of their all in one set up box. I wanted to go Acorn. If you get the mechanical kit, then you need to source everything not included in it...

Re: Buying QueenAnt pro V2 Where to start?

When I ordered mine, since I knew I was going Acorn, I just ordered the cheapest controller option in the list. If I did it again, I would buy just the mechanical kit. This is because the drivers that came with the kit were trash and completely useless. I ended up replacing them and the motors with ...

Re: VCP RESET onscreen button

I am still running 4.82 and if I trigger an E-Stop via the physical switch, then the VCP reset button engages and halts everything in SW. I have the CNCPC and Acorn PSU pre-contactor, but everything else post. So, CNCPC and Acorn stay up but everything else powers down. My E-Stops are dual circuit a...

Re: How to wire Huanyang VFD to Acorn to control spindle speed?

Can anyone confirm whether or not there must be a jumper between P and Pr (labeled P+ and PR on my VFD) as shown in the attached diagram? I don't have a jumper on mine. I read somewhere (may be wrong) that unless you order it from the factory with a resister, that circuitry is not installed. If you...

Re: Fusion 360 Mill Post Processor for Acorn with additional Features (New Version 5)

It's a bit of a hazy memory now but IIRC, the file names got all messed up too. Even if you ran one tool at a time, the output files were difficult to work with. As a technical exercise it was pretty cool but as the main benefit was reinstating the rapid moves, it didn't feel that benefit was worth...

The CNC12 Pro License does let you probe the angle but you have to apply the CSR angle manually. With the "Find Angle" probing cycle of the ProbeApp you get the option to set the CSR angle automatically:

Re: ProbeApp V3: The Ultimate Probe Software for CNC12

Is it possible to set CSR automatically with the Probe App and a Pro License? In the SW matrix it says it can be done in CNC12 Pro, but in the forum I found posts saying it needs Ultimate?

If so, what option do I use?

Also check the Windows Anti-Virus. I have to turn mine off every time I start the machine, even though I have it disabled in the Policy editor.

Try setting your PC Ethernet port speed to 100Mbps - Half Duplex as Tom mentioned. This and making sure the AV is off worked for me.

Re: Fusion 360 Mill Post Processor for Acorn with additional Features (New Version 5)

There were certainly several issues with the plugin. The main aim was to get around some of the limitations of the free version of the Fusion CAM, namely the restriction to one tool (no changes) and slow rapids. The output files were pretty clunky and TBH I concluded that the benefits of the "...
