Re: Fusion 360 Mill Post Processor for Acorn with additional Features (New Version 5)
There were certainly several issues with the plugin. The main aim was to get around some of the limitations of the free version of the Fusion CAM, namely the restriction to one tool (no changes) and slow rapids. The output files were pretty clunky and TBH I concluded that the benefits of the "...

Re: Fusion 360 Mill Post Processor for Acorn with additional Features (New Version 5)
Has anybody managed to use Swissi's PP with TIm Patterson's Fusion PostProcessAll plug in? Edit - I think I am getting there. Looks like you need to edit Swissi's PP file and set the variables there directly as the plug in bypasses the PP in Fusion completely and only uses the file. So, any variable...

Ether1616 Output boards?
Does the Ether1616 need the 2 x Output Boards to be connected or can they be left off? I need the inputs, but not the outputs and panel space is limited.

Re: Question for those running water-cooled spindles
Jianken is a reasonably well regarded make from what I have seen in hobby circles. Not sure what the water wetter is but you want a biocide to prevent growth and a corrosion inhibitor of some sort. I use antifreeze because its relatively cheap, premixed, easily available and designed to run in syste...

Re: Question for those running water-cooled spindles
What spindle do you have? I have one of the Chinese 2.2Kw Water Cooled spindles with a closed loop cooling set up and never remove the coolant. But I don't use plain water because it will grow things over time. I use car antifreeze, but you could also use RV antifreeze (its less toxic) or distilled ...

Re: Giving up on controller-commanded spindle speed
A small capacitor across the 0-10v leads at the vfd, will probably fix it. If you search for the cap you can find the value used. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Z7QTBA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This stabilized mine. I have mine on the Acorn end though. Shielded twis...

Re: ProbeApp V3: The Ultimate Probe Software for CNC12
That is definitely something worth trying! The only real problems I can see with this idea are the lack of physical checks for where the probe is. If the tool bins/numbers get scrambled somehow and it isn't caught it time then there may be some probe crashes ahead. I added an edit to my post. Swiss...

Re: ProbeApp V3: The Ultimate Probe Software for CNC12
I don't know if its pertinent and I haven't got there yet to test it, but I was planning to use a SW Detect with a wireless probe? Assign Probe to a tool #, Pick tool #, SW triggers the detect Input, select different tool #, SW releases the Input sort of thing? Not sure where I saw it, might have be...
