Re: Random clearpath drive faults while operating

Hello Gary. I changed to clearpath and a C86 about 3 years ago on Keith suggestion as he said steppers were not for real manufacturing. I'd have to say the clearpath/c86 combo has been far less reliable than Geko and Steppers were before. The only way I got anything done was to disable the HLFB moni...

Re: Random clearpath drive faults while operating

FYI I have two C86ACCP boards with no need for them here. One is an older non-screw, the other bought just months ago.

Re: Random clearpath drive faults while operating

It would appear the drive enable issue wasn’t a problem after all. The behavior is simply different now with direct wired setup than with the C 86 board. Whenever I started the machine over the last few years using the C 86 the drives were always enabled. In this case, they only enable once you comm...

Re: Random clearpath drive faults while operating

Hello. I am not a c86 fan at this point, so I re-wired as per Keith. I'm stuck though, I triple checked all wiring as per diagram(S14972.r6.pdf) and reduced to one axis and cannot get an enable light at H2 or H3. Checking voltage across ENB2 to 5V supply I get 0V, so the board is not pulling down an...

Random clearpath drive faults while operating

I am currently using a new acorn board with ether16 expantion, teknic sksd motors and a c86accp expantion board to run our drive system. Our spindle is driven by a hitachi Wj200 and a CNC depot S 30 c. Using two power supplies, one for imputs on the acorn and acorn itself, another for ether16 and out...

Re: digitizing issue some Y points missing

 Sorry, I actually knew this at one time 6 months ago, but some how forgot this time around. I had just renamed the dig file.

Re: digitizing issue some Y points missing

Now I'm remembering that this point data is designed to create g-code. I can't think of an application for myself that would use that. We would probe to get CAD file surfaces or data, manipulate, then cut. So without X Y Z points the CAD import creates garbage from this dig file. If I understand the...

digitizing issue some Y points missing <resolved>

I'm trying to digitize a car windshield. When I did rows it worked as expected. When I use grid I get strange data with most of the Y values missing.
