Re: Homing X and Y only
OK, I understand what needs to be changed if I deviate from the standard homing macro but if I make the change as shown in the attached image (change Z to 0 in the auto homing sequence) will the existing macro ignore Z homing?

Re: Homing X and Y only
The only options I have for defining the inputs are those listed on the Input Type options shown to the left.

Re: Homing X and Y only
Thanks for the info Gary but I’m still confused. As far as I can see in defining inputs with the Wizard there is only one selection and that’s “Home All” and that’s defined to IN1 which is where I have my NC parallel switches wired. To be clear, I have a slave home switch (the X axis is slaved) wire...

Re: Homing X and Y only
Help me understand what you're saying. Right now I don't have a Z homing switch. I am going to use ohmic touch-off for the Z position. It's my understanding the homing routine always starts with the expectation that the Z axis will travel to the homing switch. How do I "tell" it not to try...

Homing X and Y only
I don’t want to home the Z axis, just the X and Y – I plan a plasma unit. I looked through the documentation and searched the forum, but I can’t seem to find an answer. Maybe I just missed it but is there a way to do that?

I want to home X and Y only.
My build will result in a plasma unit and as such I'd like to home the X and Y only, not the Z. I've read the documents on Acorn installation as well as the plasma documentation and the other document on axis squaring and pairing and I see no mention of this. I will eventually use ohmic touch off so...

Need help understanding Axis configuration
I have my machine running in both the X and Y direction but I need some help in better understanding axis configuration. I am using DM542T Stepperonline drivers and BUILDYOURCNC motors P/N SM60HT86-2008BF-U2. I chose the Stepperonline CL/57Y/CL86Y as the axis drive type even though it has a differen...

Re: machine axis setup
Hi, thanks for the replies. I am using DM542T stepper drivers and I'm wiring as shown in S15108 because I eventually want to use it for plasma. It just happened that I wired it so that XYZA are 1 through 4 with A being a second motor on the other side of the X axis. So it works but what if I wanted ...

machine axis setup
Must have missed it as I won't through the manual. I am trying to set up the DB25 connector with the 4 motors on my CNC. I see in the section DB25 Mapping how it maps the step/dir/enable to each of the axis 1-4 but I can't find where to identify each of those axis. What I mean is how do I make step1...
