Spindle analog voltage low
I have been having trouble with my Acorn board, specifically the spindle voltage out. I am getting around 1.2v out with the spindle stopped. When running spindle bench test I get like 1.4v on stage 1, if I enter 1.5 it is right on for the remaining stages. Voltages are read right at the terminal on ...

more steps is not better just like making smaller and smaller g code vectors is not better Machine sweet spots for steps per rev and overall turns ratios. Milling machines 3200 to 8000 steps per rev. , overall turns ratio 5 to 10 Lathes 3200 to 8000 steps per rev. , overall turns ratio 5 to 10 Rout...

All-righty then. Made the last of the headway on mechanical setup today. I had an issue with my limit switches being physically connected wrong. I had 3 of them wired NO instead of NC. That is fixed now and the last of the belt tensoners is installed.... Now comes the fun part. Setting up the softw...

No Spindle Output Centroid Acorn
I am retrofitting a Grizzly mill using Centroid Acorn. Spindle Bench test went fine, got everything up and running minus the spindle control. Started working on that with a KBSI-240D, was getting 9.99 volts from Acorn then something happened (maybe some smoke left?) Now, everything seems to work EXC...

Re: Acorn burned down < strand of hookup wire on board>.
So, your Lenze drive is a DC spindle drive. DO you know if it has built in SIGNAL Isolation? It is not a standard VFD. IF your Acorn will no longer pass the spindle bench test, then my guess is that you blew the Spindle Analog Output on Acorn. Please explain with a sketch how you wired Acorn to the...
