Re: VFD control voltage
So I hooked up my lab power supply to the inputs of the VFD and got the exact current draw on the AI1 input when at 10 volts (see the image). Basically, at 10V the max power draw is 0.5mA and at 5V its 0.25mA. I was not able to find it in the instruction manual, but would anyone happen to know the m...

Re: VFD control voltage
If I disconnect the Acorn's analog output and measure the voltage on said output, I get the expected 10V at full power setting, and very nearly 0 at the no power setting. When I initially was testing out the spindle/VFD I started in the AI2 position, however the jumper J16 position for Current vs Vo...

Re: VFD control voltage
Please post a current report when asking for help. See the forum post below. https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=1043 My apologies, attached is the report file. The VFD is a Huanyang GT series, the specific model number is GT-7R5G-2 the manual for which is online at this location....

VFD control voltage
Setting up a VFD for a router table and ran into something I haven't encountered with my other builds. Acorn is providing 0-10V output to drive the VFD's speed control. On the bench the Acorn will preform as expected, giving a 0-10V output while not connected to anything. The VFD has two terminals G...

Input to jog axis
I'm in the process of retro-ing another Tree Journeyman 425 and came across a question from the guy I'm helping... Is it possible to emulate the old controllers, three bi-direction toggle switches that will jog the XYZ axis forward or back? I know the MPG and touch screen interface have jog buttons....

Re: THC inactive after a reset
Here is the report file.
Looking at the THC settings I do not see anything remarkable. I did verify the 50:1 on the Hypertherm 65 Sync, and the THC settings in the software. The anti drive threshold is set to 7% does that need to be increased possibly?

Re: THC inactive after a reset
I just did another test cut with a feed hold in the middle of a part purposely set unevenly. When I cycle-resumed the job the "THC Auto" light is lit on the virtual jog panel, the torch does a touch off for height then proceeds to cut but the THC doesn't raise or lower the head to contour ...

THC inactive after a reset
I've been working on mostly small part on a pretty flat table for awhile, so I never noticed my THC wasn't working if I did a mid-job feed-hold or had to run back a few steps for whatever reason. I ran a few test cuts on a unlevel scrap piece to confirm. THC will work fine through the whole job as l...

Re: Post Processor for Autodesk Fusion 360
Thanks Shawn. I did look into (briefly) modifying my Fusion 360 PP for the mill to work with the plasma (I have an Acorn running my CNC mill), but as programing isn't my strong suit, the water started to get deep quickly. Hopefully Swissi is successful in getting a PP for Fusion 360 in the near futu...
