Re: HUAN YANG HY Series VFD, Need parameters to control speed
Correct Marc, to the right of the control terminals there is a jumper, J1, with 3 pins numbered 1,2 and 3. He needs to short pins 1 and 2 with the jumper for control from and external connection. I've never wired one of these VFD's and wasn't familiar with the jumper it has. Yes, you were correct. ...

Re: HUAN YANG HY Series VFD, Need parameters to control speed
Thanks, try setting parameter Pd002 to a value of 1 and report back. Also make sure you setup the wizard properly with your spindle speed parameters. Hi, I already changed it. I can turn the spindle on from centroid but can't control the speed. And for the connections I followed the diagram scheme ...

HUAN YANG HY Series VFD, Need parameters to control speed <resolved>
I had a Sunfar VFD which I completely gave up on it, so I bought a HuanYang HY series that was straight forward to wire with the files found on Centroid forum. Now the only problem I have is that I can start the spindle from CNC12 but I can not control the speed. Can somebody please tell me what are...

Re: Need help connecting my Sunfar E300 VFD
As Gary noted, there are MANY parameters to verify/change to match the VFD to your motor. It may run right out of the box but that does not mean the parameters are correct for your spindle. ONE of those parameters is just to allow the Acorn to control the speed. There may be many more parameters th...

Re: Need help connecting my Sunfar E300 VFD
You may have it connected correctly now but you have to change the programming parameters of the VFD so it know it's being controlled by the analog inputs and not the front panel buttons. Do you have the manual? Wiring it is only half the problem, now you have to reprogram the VFD properly. Yes I h...

Re: Need help connecting my Sunfar E300 VFD
I connected everything, when I control the spindle from the VFD manually it works but I can't get it to work from the Acorn. I connected AN OUT from Acorn to AI on the VFD and CM from the VFD to AN GND on the Acorn and I can't get it to run. I just need help on the connection from the Acorn to the V...

Re: Need help connecting my Sunfar E300 VFD
The important ones are power in and power to the motor. You also will need to hook up the 0-10v terminals. The manual will have a section that shows exactly how. It can be done in different ways you will use 0-10 with the acorn. Ignore the rest for now. Is your input power single or three phase? Fr...
