Re: New build - Novakon Pulsar

Hello Micah,
I believe that AcornSix will be able to handle all of this just fine.
Are you planning to wire the limit switches individually or in series? You might be able to use the 4 axis Acorn with ETH1616 I/O expansion board depending on how many inputs and outputs the draw bar and ATC require.

Re: Is this correct?

As a quick test to make sure the inputs are working correctly, you may short one of the input channels on H1 or H4 to a COM terminal on H9. The corresponding LED will change to green. Of course, you will need to supply 24V DC to the COM terminal on H1 or H4 for this to do anything.

Re: Centroid Operator Control Panel Interface Board: USB-BOB

Mh, really good question. In my opinion they can be simply black without engraving. The other switches need also some text and i will mill a plate with engraving the text, so no need for it on the knobs itself. But someone other can find this helpful. Is it possible to change the knobs easily? Mich...

All flash storage has a finite lifespan although the eMMC used on the BBG has wear leveling and all that jazz so... You are probably looking at 5 or 6 figures worth of write cycles :)

Re: Trying to identify controller

Hello,
This T400 system is based on MPU11 and uses GPIO4D for the PLC and OpticDirect/YASINTF boards for drive interface. Please use the kit serial number (102095) when you get to the point of asking support about licenses and so on.

Re: Does this kind of wired MPG work with Acorn?

I am currently laying out the electronics in my lathe and want to leave some space for this new board in case I decide to get it. Are there dimensions available? An approximate size is ok, but position of the mounting holes even better, so I can pre-drill some standoffs for it. I'd rather do that n...

Re: Torch Height and Amperage

You can at least verify that the THC_TX is reading voltages correctly by connecting an adjustable lab supply or 9V and 1.5V batteries. In general, Plasma THC requires the torch to fire to have an arc voltage to read in the first place. The easiest way to test the height following would be to use som...

Re: Does this kind of wired MPG work with Acorn?

Good morning. I have a lot of interest in this option coming soon. Will it be necessary to use one mpg wheel per axle? Or will only one with an axis selection button be possible? :D Good morning! USBBOB can be configured to work that way! We have similar function on our regular MPG products so if t...

Re: Hardinge CHNC II+ Hickory LeadShine EL7 Retrofit

Hello I have a question about the LeadShine motors and EL7-EC drives. Over on the shopcentroid page you have the ELM2-0200 watt motor with the EL7-EC drive, but the LeadShine documentation doesn’t show anything smaller the a ELM2-0400 motor on the EL7-EC. I just wanted to verify the 200 watt servo ...
