Re: Centroid Operator Control Panel Interface Board: USB-BOB

On page 13 of the draft manual, there's a wiring diagram for an SPST button. I am installing a 3-position rotary switch to set up for 1x, 10x, 100x speed multipliers for the X and Z MPGs on my lathe. Attached is a photo of the back of the switch. I think the way I'd wire this, based on the manual i...

Re: Centroid Operator Control Panel Interface Board: USB-BOB

What type of inputs do you want to be preprogrammed by Centroid and included with the Wizard? One that might be useful (though may not need to be in the wizard, I'm not sure) - is an override enable/disable. I want to have to hit a switch to enable the feed and spindle speed override knobs, so that...

Re: Centroid Operator Control Panel Interface Board: USB-BOB

Is that a 9mm mounting hole for the rotary encoders? or something different? Most of the ones I've used and have kicking around here with a 6mm shaft have a 9mm mounting diameter. Just checking before I start drilling! Yes, you should do a clearance fit for M9x0.75 threads + 3mm diameter hole ( or ...

Re: Delta ASDA-B2 ACORN WIRING INFORMATION

What exact model ASDA-B2 drives do you have? It will say on the nameplate sticker. Please post a picture of the connector and nameplate sticker if you can. I am curious because all of Delta's documentation for ASD-B2-xxxx-B (standard spec) drives shows a 44 pin CN1 connector. The ASD-B2-xxxx-F spec ...

Re: Hardinge CHNC II+ Hickory LeadShine EL7 Retrofit

Question about encoder cable. Once the rest of the retrofit is complete I am planning to retrofit the air driven tool turret with a servo motor. I am using Leadshine EL7 drives and servos with absolute encoders. The encoder cable already has the motor connector on it and it is impossible to get it ...

For Hickory, the main tuning done on the Centroid side is the delay. If you have scales, that will add another position loop on top.
