Re: Acorn with Stepperonline CL86T-V41 Motor Drivers Problem

Ok, there's a few things that you did not mention but may have already checked: 1. Is the switch for selecting 5V/24V input signals in the correct place? 2. Is SW7 set to OFF for step and direction control? If those have already been checked, I would try using the software (Leadshine MotionStudio) ...

Re: Acorn with Stepperonline CL86T-V41 Motor Drivers Problem

I've included what I think is the report for my Acorn controller. If this isn't the correct document let me know. I didn't see the dip switch settings discussed by centroid 467. My switch 7 is pulse mode either double or single pulse. I didn't see any switch to select from 5 to 24 volts. I believe ...

Re: Quick Tip: IF you have Home/Limit Switches, here is an example and description on setting them up

They are normally two different things but we've made our systems to be flexible enough to handle most cases. For instance, we typically recommend routers just use one switch per axis set as Home and Limit and then use the software defined limits on the other end. Some of the options make more sense...

Re: Changing motherboards

Hello Jeffrey, I hope you will be feeling better soon! From our records for K10960, it should have an ASUS M4N68T-M V2 motherboard. The SSD installed is recorded as an OCZ OCZSSD2-1AGT60G which is a SATA II device. That Gigabyte motherboard is for Intel processors while the console is recorded as ha...

You'll find the input and output assignments in mpu.plc. You'll need to scroll down a little bit but they still somewhat near the top of the file.

Re: HotWire Heat Control

M3 ON M5 OFF S = power signal (0-10 vdc to the wire controller, 0 = 0 and 10 vdc max power Thank you. So is that a spindle? Which output on the board? Is that a relay? Or analog? As Keith said, assign SPINFWD to a relay and use that for the enable signal. He then suggested using the analog output (...

Re: Stepper Driver Input Voltage - Filtering Required?

I think you've gotten a few orders of magnitude off on the capacitance required. For less than 2V ripple, you need greater than 8 millifarads. Those are all microfarads. It'll be hard to find a suitable cap on Amazon. You may remember when capacitors in the microfarad range were labelled with MFD. Y...

Re: Acorn and Accelus drive connections.

From the user guide you uploaded, I would set up the I/O like this: *All used inputs set to pull up - that should include IN5 and IN6. *All unused inputs should be set to "Not configured". *IN2 is supposedly a dedicated Enable input so I would set IN2 as "Amp Enable-LO Enables With Cl...
