Re: Toroidal power supply question
No, the transformer will not cause issues with other parts of the system. That is just how transformers work. The windings present themselves as a DC short but react differently to AC.

Re: Toroidal power supply question
That's expected from wiring in a transformer. Coils are just coils of wire after all. They'll have some DC resistance but not very much. If I remember correctly, you are using a circuit breaker upstream of this toroidal supply. I would flip the switch on the breaker to disconnect the toroid from the...

Re: Voltage divider/ cable ?
I have a prime weld cut 60 plasma cutter and the centroid cable from the plasma cutter to the THC board. I'm planning on changing the internal voltage divider to a proma voltage divider. My question is once I've changed the voltage divider to the proma unit can I still use the same cable from the p...

Re: Deckel fP4A Dialog11
I think the local folks you mention may have misunderstood that you were referring to spindle range changing motors rather than the spindle drive motor. To recap, you have a VFD driving the spindle motor and three motors that control the gearing. Looking at the M41 and M42 macros along with the PLC ...

Re: Manual machining still possible?
I'll use AC servos as described lately by Uwe and I hope they handle braking properly. Check the manual for the drives you will be using. It should say what which models come with a braking resistor installed or if an external resistor should be provided. Most AC servos systems I have seen between ...

Re: Spindle 0-10V output problem
Please post a report .zip from CNC12 and any pictures you have of the wiring for the VFD and the Acorn. What is the make and model of the currently installed VFD? If you were following a specific schematic, the number would be helpful as well. Are you measuring the Acorn analog output voltage with t...

Re: question on schmatic S15061
I think the right answer is whichever of the pins in the range of 18-25 is most convenient for wiring the cable. They are all connected internally on the Acorn so there is no real difference between them.
Thanks for catching that mistake!

Re: G-Code
If I am understanding you correctly, you need the Mozaik Cabinet software to output GCode for Centroid? They appear to already have a Centroid postprocessor included or available. Does that postprocessor not work for your machine?

Re: Millport VMC1660 Centroid Upgrade (Leadshine EL7)
In the pictured schematics, it looks to me like that spindle chiller would be turned on by CNT4 when CNT1 is closed (not in E-stop) and PLCIO2 H7 OUT 30 is closed. To replicate that on S15259, I would add a CNT5 and OCR4 following the pattern of the CNT2/OCR2 block. Of course, you'll need to put the...
