Re: PWN CNC Spindle Connection to Acorn Controller

I think it would be better to use 0-10V analog in this case. No real reason to choose PWM over industry standard 0-10V for spindle control unless the hardware works better with PWM which I do not believe is likely. It is probably a good idea to crack open that VFD cabinet and check the wiring and VF...

Re: Differential closed loop steppers

Please be advised that part no. 15130 (D-SCOUT) requires the ACORNSIX controller board to function. ACORNSIX and D-SCOUT is what you will need to control those steppers with a Centroid conversion so you are on the right track.

Re: PWN CNC Spindle Connection to Acorn Controller

The VFD will accept analog 0-10V DC on terminal VF1. This is selected by P0.0.04 according to the EM60 series manual on the pwnCNC website (here: https://support.pwncnc.com/kb/article/37-vfd-manual/ ) If it has the expansion card then it might be set up for some kind of pulse input on DI6 but otherw...

Re: Unexplained asymmetry in milled part

The report should have the settings that need troubleshooting. So, if you made any changes to the configuration then it would be a good idea to revert to the settings used to run the job.

Re: ArconSix on SCM Tech 100

Hello again Maurizio, The manual you linked is for CACR-SR__ BY 1__ series drives while you have CACR-SR__ BE 1__ series drives. They are probably very similar and the manuals may be almost identical however it is best practice to use the one that matches the part number. You should be able to contr...

Re: ArconSix on SCM Tech 100

Hello Maurizio, The correct manual for the Yaskawa part number you give is TSE-S800-11.1E which is found here: https://www.yaskawa.com/delegate/getAttachment?documentId=TSE-S800-11.1E&cmd=documents&documentName=TSE-S800-11.1E.pdf Since these are speed control drives, you will not be able to ...

Re: DC all in one- what do I need to run an AC servo 4th axis?

Using that AC servo on the 4th axis may be possible with the ALLIN1DC but will depend on the motor and cost a bit more than you'd want. If it is compatible with our AC/DC drive (pn 12854/12855), then you'd be able to use it but you'll need another power supply, custom PLC work, and possibly a change...

Re: Hendrick/Shinx 20ZXGN 5-axis controller replacement

Those Mitsubishi drives can accept pulse train position commands and analog velocity/torque commands. These Yaskawa drives only accept analog commands. That makes the choice of Centroid controller pretty simple depending on the desired level of effort and the condition of the motors and drives. OAK ...

Re: Retrofit options for old point-to-point?

The CACR-SR series are all speed control drives. You'd want to use the Oak or OpticDirect to talk to those drives with analog velocity mode. See the appropriate manual for the drives here: https://www.yaskawa.com/downloads/-/document/downloads?documentType=Manuals%20-%20User%20Guides&productGrou...
