I have installed & checked your fast jog brain but I can't get it to work.
The fast jog LED comes on with the shift key but the axis just stops. Jog works fine otherwise in the slower mode.
I have the jog speeds set @ 5 and 100 in the Ajax plugins.
Any ideas?

Re: Fast Jog
Capt M,
I'm also doing a project and jogging seems to be an issue with many. I've read numerous posts and the same applies. Some of these operators have tables that are 100x200mm. So slow makes sense. My table is 72x120!!! It takes me over 3 minutes to jog the full length. I've searched in many areas for clear concise instructions on many issues and the manuals don't fully cover all the things we need to easily move past these should be simple issues. To change the jog speed should be simple and take a few minutes of our time. But we spend days in manuals and forums trying to find information or waiting for Scott to reply. Scott is busy and good manuals that cover all the variables and setup differences along with general Mach issues that everyone will encounter..would save him a lot of time from having to babysit us. Things like hit the TAB key to pop up the Jog Menu. What the causes are, for the error messages we receive in Mach. And a lot more on adjusting Kd, Kp and Kvl and the starting point with a certain sizes of motor. The Ajax Plugin has values but most often needs a lot of changes. The manual spends very little time on that and we stumble around with motors banging and shaking around.
This product will never be Plug and Play. We know going in that we need to do a lot of wiring, configurations, adjustments and setup. However, the information needs to easier to access.

Re: Fast Jog
It was apealing because it was advertized as plug and play. Looking back it would have been better to put together my own system. Many aftermarket boards are well documented. Ajax, being proprietery, there is no way to understand its operation.

Re: Fast Jog
My next retrofit will be a lot easier. This first one will take months and cost alot more than planned. Most of the time is trial and error or researching. The information is in 5 or 6 different places and fragmented! An organized manual with all the variables would be great. For instance, the motor tuning of Kd...shows us if it's too high or too low but what about how it should look when the motor is tuned!!!!
The AllInOne Online manuals in the Tech Support (Mach3 based) are Installation and Operators. So, I assume I need to complete the Installation manual first and get the machine running. But about a month and a half into the project I find out the Operators manual has most of the Installation stuff I needed!!!! The word "Operators manual: means something different to me. That was aggavating.
Anyway, I plug along slowly and I'm learning a lot. Good thing I'm not under a timeframe!!!
