I have the yaskawa SGDS servopacks, and the drive will only accept line driver step/dir, Is there a way i can interface them to the Acorn?
thanks

Re: Acorn Step/Dir Differential line driver
Since the board terminals are open collector output, I would suggest using the DB25 step & direction terminals

Re: Acorn Step/Dir Differential line driver
Thank you Gary, i didn't realize the DB25 was 5 Volt, i will be using the DB25 with this https://cnc4pc.com/differential-line-driver.html, my Acorn is arriving tomorrow i will post how it works out.

Re: Acorn Step/Dir Differential line driver
I also use the DB25 signals for Step/Direction outputs and open collector outputs for Drive Enable, etc. I ended up milling a little PC board and just soldered the differential driver ICs. Works perfect.
