G540 only X axis working
I have searched on here and I have not found any answers. I have installed the software and ran the bench test successfully. I have set up in the wizard for "G540 drive only". I am not having any luck with the Y or Z moving with input controls. I have used this g540 with mach3 for a while now with no problems. I am sure it is just a setting somewhere in the wizard that I am unaware of.

Re: G540 only X axis working
I have wired the g540 as per the diagram supplied. I have the DB25 plugged into the acorn and the g540. All of my stepper motor plugs are secure. I am getting the feedback sound of a motor that is holding its position on all motors. The only motor responding to the travel input is the X axis.

Re: G540 only X axis working
Do you have the current Acorn with removable connectors or the one with non removable connectors?
Are you absolutely sure you are using a DB25 straight through cable?

Re: G540 only X axis working
I am using the new one with terminals. I will test my dB25 cable as soon as I can get back to my shop in a few days. I was using that cable with a older system before and it was good but there is a good chance I could have grabbed a bad cord or one that is not pass through.

So you can actually unplug the terminal blocks from Acorn?cappy175 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2018 10:04 pm I am using the new one with terminals.
