Splines and gears

Post by Roadstercycle »

Just curious if Intercon has splines or gear cutter in it with 4th axes. I am waiting for the 2 Acorns and Pro and just wondering in the meantime.

You may want to check out Fusion360. There are some nice features in there to generate gears. Then, you can just post for the Centroid control.

I know where you can download a nice post, if you're interested.

Fusion 360 gear generation is just developing the solid model of the gear and creating regular tool paths to profile the gear or to generate a toolpath and rotary table positioning moves to use with an involute cutter.

What I was hoping for when I saw this thread was synchronized W axis and spindle movement to HOB gears and splines.
Cheers,

Tom

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.
