Hi,
I have just purchased an Acorn board and the pro mill version. 4.08
After installing and setting up for benchtesting according to the guidelines, I can't get the CNCWizard to run.
I seems to be starting, I get a hourglass for a moment, but nothing happens.
I have now tried 3 different computers running windows 10 x64 - None of them is working.
I then began to investigate the issue, and it seems to somehow being related to the "cncm.prm.xml" file.
If I edit this xml file and remove most of the entries, only leaving 20 or so. The CNCWizard is able to start, but if I hit the "reset all settings" button in the CNCWizard it crashes. CNCWizard resets "cncm.prm.xml" which now again contain the 1000 entries. But after this I have the same issue, CNCWizard won't start.
Please advice where to go now

Re: CNCWizard won't run after install
uninstall the cncm or cnct software using windows uninstall, then delete the cncm or cnct directory and then reinstall 4.08

Re: CNCWizard won't run after install
Hi Keith,
Done it a million times, uninstall - remove folders - reinstall
Same same.
If I investigate further and use "Dependency Walker" to see if I'm missing some dlls for CNCWizard, it takes minutes for dependency walker to analyze CNCWizard, see attached.
(edit) If use "Depency Walker" in 32bit version it seems to load CNCWizard normally - I suspect some 32/64bit issues.
Maybe someone could provide me with a later version to try - Can't find other versions than the latest 4.08
Should it be able to run on both win10 X64 and win10 x86?
br.
Enrico

Enrico, please report back to let us know if it was a regional setting issue.Fredsan wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2017 11:59 am I had a simmilar problem, it was related to regional settings.

Re: CNCWizard won't run after install
Fredsan you are absolutely right - Thanks man
I also saw an issue related to xml parsing when I run the CNCWizard with Visual Studio - That now makes sense, because CNCWizard is trying read/write values in the "cncm.prm.xml" file.
And that led to a crash.
It all makes sense now.
And Marty - Yes it is indeed region related.
Please advice about this issue i your installation guidelines

I think it is on Centroid's to do list to fix the "Region" issue. (Keith/Scott?)
But thanks to Fredsan and yourself for discovering it.
