Jay! Thanks again for posting your progress on your rebuild/retrofit. Reminds me of my first Bridgeport knee mill. I stripped it all the way to the iron and re-skim coated it with filler and painted it....WHITE! Turned out great, but I will never forget all the work I put myself through.

Curiously, how long did it take you to complete that project?

Oh Man! - the whole summer of Saturdays - and it's not over, it turns out my Spindle bearings were loose - with about .020 of vertical play - so now it's torn apart and discovered someone before me put cheapo bearings in it.

I'm also tweaking the PLC to accommodate the Joysticks - Mario in Support helped me get started - now I'm running with more enhancements. But in all honesty I'm enjoying it.

This may not be the end as I'm looking for a suitable lathe to take on as well.
