Ah, okay...I admit I only watched about half the video before I couldn't help myself anymore and had to stop watching to go order another Acorn. I'll go watch the rest of it now.

When the pawn gcode started, the yellow toolpath came in from both the back and front for the facing pass...wondering why?

Finished wiring my encoder (phew, what a tedious process, I see why they cost so much!) installed 4.08 mill 1st like Keith did in the video, then installed lathe. All went well until I try to install the Pro unlock in lathe so I can test the encoder. I was sent the unlock via email on Aug 18 & has never been used. I saved it for when lathe was launched for usage of a spindle encoder. Do I need a new one for 4.08? It says "License successfully imported" but still shows Acorn Free. Any clues what I'm doing wrong?

We'll wait for Keith but you may need a new license for this new revisionDICKEYBIRD wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2017 1:26 pm Finished wiring my encoder (phew, what a tedious process, I see why they cost so much!) installed 4.08 mill 1st like Keith did in the video, then installed lathe. OK, thanks Marty. I was able to see that the rpm readout works in the lathe screen & so far it looks like the used Heidenhain & my wiring job works. Hoo-Rah!
ps: I did have to set my encoder count to a minus 8000 to get it to display properly. I guess my interpretation of the CC's & CCW's got bass-ackwarded on the H/H website! I'm not about to go back & swap wires around (I hope.)

Right on!
Yes, I had to also set my encoder value to a negative number. Glad to hear you are making progress!

Will M107 and BCD work with the Acorn board?

in v4.08 BCD output and M107 is available in both the Mill Pro License and the Lathe Pro License.
