I updated just for the heck of it, then I pulled the system off of the machine. I am selling it, so I put it back on Mach. Anyway, it went fairly smooth. Getting Mach up and running was more of a pain than acorn.
I have 4 upgrade now running with cnc12 14
1 Denford esyturn lathe
2 myford ML10 lathe
3 Taiwan bridgeport clone which is a 52" table and closed looped steppers
4 Kondia similar to your own conversion (not quite finished but working )

Excellent!
You need to post pictures of your machines in the Success Stories Forum!

Just updated mine last night.
Had to manually redo the Pro .dat file (lucky I saved it)
All went smoothly, except I had to redo my entire tool Lib offsets.
Followed CNCKeiths vid which was awesome.
Luckily I only had six tools to do.
Anybody have a similiar experience?

I'm up and running with 4.14. I took my time, set units to metric before Wizarding, set all parameters in the wizard and tested it out. Apart from a few minor senior moments (homing direction on X and Y!), everything worked out just fine. I compared the machine parameters #1-400 between the 2 installations in Excel and apart from rounding off some of the new values from "imperial metric" (change 12.7 to 10 or 15 etc), it was pretty much spot on. The differences that remained seemed to make sense.
I've tested the probing / digitisation and tool setting functions and they are all working nicely including the probe detect etc. This caused me grief on the previous update but you seem to have cracked it now! Worked out of the box.
I haven't checked to see if my previous rigid tapping functionality is still there but that's no big deal for me.
The only issue on my setup is the M3 macro which I had previous modified so that the high / low gear selection happened automatically (my machine has solenoid gear engagement and microswitch feedback) no longer works. When I try to get it switch back from low to high ratio, CNC12 completely closes down, as in the program disappears entirely from Windows - which is rather final. I've replaced it with the default macro until I can take a closer look. Probably not a major concern unless I'm planning on some heavy drilling / tapping at some point. I expect the parameters I am using are being poked where they shouldn't be.
Very nicely done, and some nicely thought out enhancements!

Muzzer, could you please post your latest report?
Did you transfer your M3 macro from the saved copy of the 4.12 directory?
Marty

I'll post it tomorrow - it's late now here and I've just got in from the workshop and seen this. Yes, I copied it over - Keith warned they may not work but I wasn't expecting it to kill CNC12!
