One that might be useful (though may not need to be in the wizard, I'm not sure) - is an override enable/disable. I want to have to hit a switch to enable the feed and spindle speed override knobs, so that if they get accidentally bumped, they don't do anything unless I've got the overrides enabled.

Similarly, MPG enable/disable would be useful as well, so you don't make a move by accident if you bump the wheel.

Is that possible?
MPG enable/disable is available in the VCP and on the M400/T400 control panels so it should be pretty easy to assign a USBBOB input to that in the PLC if it isn't included in the Wizard settings.

Override enable/disable is also possible through PLC.

I'll ask about getting those functions added to the Wizard choices.

Excellent. either way is probably fine but having it in the wizard would be welcome!

soon as the beta testing is done. :D
which is typically about 8 weeks. beta testers are just now recieving hardware and software support is basic at the moment (no fancy drag and drop ui yet, working on that now.)

On page 13 of the draft manual, there's a wiring diagram for an SPST button. I am installing a 3-position rotary switch to set up for 1x, 10x, 100x speed multipliers for the X and Z MPGs on my lathe.

Attached is a photo of the back of the switch. I think the way I'd wire this, based on the manual is:

Blue: COM
Red: USB-BOB IN1
Yellow: USB-BOB IN2
Green: USB-BOB IN3

This is correct?

That wiring should work for a rotary switch with common terminal.

Ok, another wiring question: the cheap latching buttons I have (which I already have and want to use) have integrated LEDs that can either be always on, or can light when pressed. I want them to show the state of the button, because these are low profile and there's not much travel in the button - it makes it easier to know it's pressed. Therefore I need to wire these as NO according to the instructions (attached).

There's no real info on them in terms of their electrical requirements, but I wired one up to a benchtop power supply at 5V and it works fine, the LED is lit and the switch functions. PSU doesn't register any current being drawn at 5V when it's on, so it's really minimal. At 12V it registers 1mA when the button is depressed.

It seems I can power these from the 5V on the USB-BOB but what resistor value should I use? Without knowing the specs on the LED, how can I tell?

Is it possible I don't need the current limiting resistor at all, because that's handled inside the switch? or do I need more coffee?
