Good day everyone, The DC-AIO and setup has been working wonderfully! We are really learning the software and advanced nature of this system. We are now looking to add a 4th axis as a rotary table. I know you sell CNC rotarys but those a simply out of my budget. I am looking on the bidding/auction sites for now. On the other hand, It seems there are many inexpensive manual tables w/ motor conversions done on them. I have a spare DC servo motor which I can mod onto a table but I really do not want to waste my money if this is simply going to fail quickly. Some folks noted they cannot accommodate this type of motorized use? Tormach has an 8" w/ stepper setup for 1,000 which looks decent. I also have a lead on a Haas 4th axis CNC table locally but it's really beat up looking. You guys have been awesome for info and the forums are just full of mis-information.

the basic Q: would a phase II rotary table w/ a Servo conversion/hook-up work well as a 4th axis or am I just tossing money away?

you can pick up a new or used dc servo motor and a used rotary table on ebay and connect it up to the allin1dc and a DC1 and you would have a true simultaneous 4th axis. and you can even program it with intercon our conversational which is super easy..it programs just like any other axis.

as far as converting a manual rotary table.. well .. most manual rotary tables have a ton of backlash.. and if that's ok with you..then it would work. just always spin in the same direction no to induce the backlash is one strategy.. but i would look for a used cnc rotary table before converting a manual unit.

here is a good deal on a new dc servo motor. http://www.ebay.com/itm/231989229797?ss ... 1555.l2649
