Give Centroid a call. I had a DC310 recently repaired for a similiar issue and it wasn't bad. You will need a report or the Centroid Serial number off the tag on the cabinet. They will repair it, test/burn it in as if it were a new board.

If the eBay unit is in good working order, that would be less expensive than a factory repair.

However, factory repair is pretty reasonable, and would come with greater assurance.

Ordered the DC310 on EBay. After I get the machine running again I plan to have my original DC310 repaired.

Just an FYI and 4his is only my experience with a factory repair on one bad axis. It was under $400 shipping included. Of course they need your board to evaluate.

The swap out is straight forward.

Just for the record, it is a DC3IO ("dee see three eye oh"). As in DC-servo drive, three-axis, with inputs and outputs.

I received my DC3IO from EBay and installed it this evening. Very straightforward, marked all the axis drive wires to insure that they got reinstalled correctly. My mill is back up and running. Thanks to everyone for their comments and help.

Good to hear Mike and thank you for letting us know the outcome. Strongly suggest you send your old DC3IO in for evaluation. You may be pleasantly surprised as to repair cost. AND you'll have a back up. Seems the DC3IO might go South for almost no reason other than age. We all breakdown with age! 😉
