Hey folks.... time to put a little time into upgrages on the AIO card/Software setup on my Mill.
Will get a new laptop to spec's running Windows 10. (Win 7 pro currently).
Mill screen is 3.16 CNC 11D. There is just a LOT of information on the site these days. Is there a tip/procedure doc on how to go about getting the latest software and how to properly upgrade the system? I see notes about touch-screen capability. Would this go to CNC12 Mill then? I have not kept up too well on the advances.
TIA...

ok, poking around the bulletins found this doc so far...
https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersuppo ... ds/311.pdf
Can Windows 10- 64bit Home OS be used?
On the current CNC11 3.16 OS (system now), related to all Settings and Parms- exporting
Do I need do any export/save the 11 items and expect a re-import to 12 post upgrade?
Related TB's on OS tuning and some other items look easy enough.... nice stuff as always from ya.

If you are keeping the hard drive (upgrading Windows in place), then you can just install CNC12 v4.14 over the top of CNC11 v3.16, as an update. Your settings will be preserved. But save a Report anyway....
If you are doing a fresh install on a new or reformatted hard drive, install CNC12 v4.14, then restore your Report.

I am running Win10 64 home on four machines right now. Two with AllIn1DCs, one on Oak and one with an MPU11/GPIO4. Works just fine.
Cheers,
Tom
