Cory, please post a current report from your machine so that we may see your settings and help you more.

If you have 3 "limit" switches set up then it's not setup correctly. There is a difference between a HOME switch and a LIMIT switch. We need to know if you have mechanical or proximity switches. NO or NC? Please share a link to a google album with pics of the machine. We need A LOT more info to help you.

Guidelines for asking questions on the forum, we simply need more info.

When you get back post a current report from the machine and we'll get it going. You said you "think" you set the soft limits but if you can crash it in either direction something is not set right. Sounds like you may have a couple of settings mixed up. Easy enough to fix.
