Updating to v5.08 for CNC Control

Hello Again,
I am currently contemplating getting v5.08 for CNC control of my laser and Acorn controller.
I have been reading. I see it is a free upgrade. Does this account for updating to it from a past versioning and exactly how would I go about accessing it from the current computer with the Pro License on it.
I mean...
1. I download it.
2. Then, I type in the pro license number.
3. Then, everything should boot into the new type of versioning and license.

P.S. I am missing something. I do not think I still have the older license number. I will check in the meantime. If I only need the Acorn serial and a print file, okay. I am trying to understand this bit of text: https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... loads.html .
I will try to upgrade while people are thinking about helping me here. This way, I can officially know what is in store for handling this upgrade to v5.08. Does the Acorn need to be attached like when I first updated to the Pro License?
