Hello,
I know this is premature here but...
I am planning on purchasing a Sherline to test my capabilities in making for now. Now, is the newer software for CNC for the computer a free upgrade for existing controllers or would I need to buy the updated CNC computer software to have the upgrade?
I have a licensed version now, i.e. PRO that is in "use."
Would the newer source need to be installed to use it for a new controller or can I use multiple licenses of software for one Acorn controller?
For instance,
1. I would use the laser with hopefully the updated versioning of the source if free upgrades are available.
2. I would use the lathe license, not purchased yet, for the Sherline.
3. I am switching from one controller to itself with different types of software.
I was thinking it would be easier to manage if I purchased another Acorn but I am not sure as of now.
Seth
P.S. So far, I have an older model CNC source with an Acorn controller for two motor movements, i.e. router. I saw with the new versioning of software, there is a link online to the Laser variables for Acorn. That is an update!
