I have measured it several times trying to get as precise as possible. All 3 axis are .0025 and I adjusted that out. I used several vids but this one mainly.

In the settings for lash comp. I first verified and made sure my motor revs were accurate and then set an indicator on the x, y and z axis and went one full rotation to zero on the dial and then backed off in the other direction noting the difference it took to move. I have double ball screws advertised and zero backlash but I have the exact same amount X, Y and Z and have taken the machine apart several times and measure no backlash anywhere other than the ballscrews. It runs great btw and seems accurate so far other than the strange not reading dead on zero at times when I return it, I thought at first I had my gibs too tight but checked and rechecked that as well.

@cnckeith - The previously mentioned issue was me not knowing I had the settings set to move in .001 increments and I was expecting to be able to land on .0001 at will pretty much. I changed the settings to .0001 and now I can adjust to any number I like however I discovered I think I have my gibs adjusted too tightly. When dialing in a tenth at a time it does not move then suddenly jumps a thousandth or so or at least several tenths. I wonder if I should disconnect my ball screws so I can feel the gib adjusting by hand?

On another note, I get a constant message on the screen about the 452 Ethernet error however it runs great without issues. Should I be concerned about this? I did isolate the network cable to be by itself and not by any power wires and it did not help, I have the excess in a loop lying in the bottom of the cabinet right where it comes out of the acorn unit.

yeah you are describing classic "sticktion" mechanical stick - slip action which can be caused by a variety of things.
