we are building drivers for the XHC PHB04B-4 WIRELESS USB MPG. We will sell for around $200
on a related note...
we are also currently in beta testing of CNC12 with the Contour Shuttle support that will be included with next release (v4.12).

Yeah.... At over $1000, I don't seen many people being interested in connecting one of those to their Acorns. The Shuttle is, I suppose, better than the keyboard, but anyone who has used a REAL MPG, will toss it in the trash right off the bat, just like I did.

For the Acorn at least, the VistaCNC pendants would make FAR more sense -- they are very well made (in the USA), inexpensive(~$250 for the P2S), and very well supported.

Ray L.

our target price is under $200 for the XHC PHB04B-4 WIRELESS USB MPG.
The performance is impressive. Anyone with a large machine tool will value this MPG control pendant.

for those that want a cheaper solution the Contour Shuttle offers a lower price point..the drivers we have developed for the Shuttle also work quite well.

send us one of the vista pendants and we will take a look at it and see if we can get it going.

$200 is WAY more reasonable! :-) I Googled, the part number, which took me to a vendor on AliExpess selling it for $1300+! Bet they don't sell too many!

Keith,

I've talked to Lee at VistaCNC, and he'd be very interested in supporting his pendants on your products. If you can PM me your e-mail, I can put you two in touch, and hopefully we'll all end up with more pendant choices!

Ray L.

Hello. New to this board and hopefully soon to be a new owner of an Acorn system with Turn Pro.

I am very interested in any progress that may be happening with the VistaCNC P2-S pendant. I've grown so used to having this pendant, just can't imagine not having it for use on any of my CNC equipment.

Tossing another idea into the fire. I know this is unrelated to USB pendants, but a pendant possibility. Since most all computer now that would be used in support of the Centroid software should have Bluetooth built in. Has anyone contemplated the use of an Andriod app interface? Just thought I would mention it as a potential for a super cheap pendant option since most of us have smart phones. I would absolutely still prefer my P2-S, but might be an interesting alternative just for simple functions of jogging around.

I asked the Vistacnc owner if he is going to support Acorn and his answer
was that there was some interest earlier but now there are no plans to do so.
Bummer, as I also use one of his pendants on mach3.

How is the testing on the XHC PHB04B-4 WIRELESS USB MPG coming?

I have been running an Acorn and CNC12 since mid January and am very pleased with it, but I am missing an MPG big time...

It is beta testing with several users at this moment. Have you already purchased the Phb04b-4 wireless mpg?

I have not, but I would order one today if I can be a beta tester.
