I am setting up the spindle on my new DIY CNC Router using the Acorn control board and a Huanyang Inverter for the spindle running on 110V.
I performed the bench test on the inverter output and everything went well. I tested the inverter and spindle on its own and it works fine as well. I am able to jog the X, Y, and Z directions just fine (Stepperonline CL86Y). I have wired the inverter in accordance with the Centroid wiring diagram and double checked all wires. I have set the inputs and outputs according to the drawing.
For some reason I am having trouble getting the Acord to control the inverter. It just does not work.
The inverter settings are as follows:
PD001=1 (I have tried "0" as well)
PD002=1 (I have tried "0" as well)
PD003=400
PD004=400
PD005=400
PD006=5
PD007=20
PD008=110
PD009=15
PD010=8
PD011=120
PD013=08
PD014=12
PD015=12
PD041=8
PD120=100
PD141=110
PD142=9
PD143=2
PD144=3000
PD70=0
PD72=400
PD73=120
PD174=11
I also have the J1 jumper on pins 1 & 2.
I have included a screenshot of the Input & Output Diagnostics.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Re: Trouble setting up my Huanyang Inverter
You should post a current report from the machine, without it we are just guessing.
You have outputs 4,5 and 6 forced on, why? See the white line under the green LED/dot? Deactivate those outputs. This instructions are on the diagnostic screen.
Also, if this is a router you will not need "SpinREV" as an output because you'll never spin a router in reverse.
Your router spindle is also not setup correctly in the wizard, you still have the stock parameters for the spindle test.
Please post a link to the manual for your VFD along with a model number, your settings for the parameters don't help us unless we have a manual to look at and know the model number.

Re: Trouble setting up my Huanyang Inverter
I have attached the following:
A picture of the spindle motor
A copy of the manual
A copy of a report from today
A copy of the wiring diagram used
As suggested by Shawn, I removed the "Forced on" condition from the outputs. I am now able to toggle the spindle on/off with the Centroid controls but I do not have speed control of any kind, it is either on or off.
I have been reviewing a lot of similar posts on the forum and I have found everything from modified wiring diagrams to multiple different setting lists. How do you know what is correct?

Re: Trouble setting up my Huanyang Inverter
There is not only one way to configure and wire the same VFD to Acorn
The best way is to understand how the things are working to get the spindle running to your needs with the least complicated wiring.

Re: Trouble setting up my Huanyang Inverter
Forget about acorn and make the vfd work on it's own first. Then work on getting acorn to control it. You should be able to touch two wires together to make it run (spin for and dcm) and you can use a 9v battery to give it 90% speed command(VI and Acm). Once you have the vfd and spindle working, then hook it up to acorn. After that, you can work on setting up safety measures. You end up fighting to many variables when looking at everything at the same time.

Re: Trouble setting up my Huanyang Inverter
I am able to run the spindle motor from the VFD. I am also able to toggle the spindle on and off from the centroid software. The problem is that I have no speed control from the centroid software. When I do turn the spindle on from the software I do not get full speed which I was able to get when running the spindle from the VFD.

Re: Trouble setting up my Huanyang Inverter
You are only halfway listening. With a 9v battery do you get 90% spindle speed?
