Hey guys,
I just got my control panel built and getting my lathe spindle running.
I have Spin FWD and Spin REV outputs working but I cannot get my VFD enabled as I can't choose VFD Enable or VFD reset in the Acorn wizard list of outputs.
I'm using CNC12 Free edition. Is this a CNC12 Free issue?
Thanks

Re: VFD Outputs not listed
It's one or the other, not both for spindle control. All you need is SpinFWD and SpinREV for the VFD signal to spin the motor. Not sur why you cant drag the reset to the output.
Please post a current report from the machine, this is needed for us to help you better.

Re: VFD Outputs not listed
Explain what you mean by VFD enabled?

Re: VFD Outputs not listed
See attachments below.
I will remove Spindle Enable relay wiring and simply use my E-stop contactor to enable the VFD if that's all I need to do-but- I keep seeing in all their literature and wiring diagrams the "VFD Enable" output (in pics attached). Attachment S15009.r3.pdf shows the wiring I'm currently using darn close. These options don't show up for me.
I can do a report later when I'm at machine.
Thanks.

Re: VFD Outputs not listed
My VFD like most others has an Digital Input called "Enable" that changes the VFD from "Inhibited"state to "Ready" state. That input must be "ON" before it will follow FWD or REV commands.

Re: VFD Outputs not listed
My advice would be to start slow.
For starters, in order to get the VFD to work, you only need the following: SpinFWD, Common, 10v+ / 10v-
VFD Reset is only needed if you fault the VFD, and need to reset it. I would focus on getting things to work basically first.
VFD Enable is not needed at all.

Re: VFD Outputs not listed
Ok, then you might have to reverse the state of the output.
I run a Sunfar E550, I don't need to do that.

Re: VFD Outputs not listed
This is why we ask for much more info from you when you ask a question, so we can answer more accurately. Post links to your drives manual, model numbers and anything else we might need to answer your question better. Without all the info you'll get half the answer.

Re: VFD Outputs not listed
Thanks gents,
I feel stupid but here's what it was... When you scroll down the list of outputs it stops when the scroll bar hits the bottom of the screen, but if you scroll the overall window down the remaining output options appear.
But I did learn that the Enable isnt all that necessary but I will be using Fault Reset sinc I have wires already running to the relay module from the VFD. Also I will send the proper files next time for help.
Cheers

your screen resolution is not set to 1920x1080mrautom8 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 4:21 pm Thanks gents,
