I am trying to wire my Pepperl Fuchs limit switches to the AcornSix. The limits take 10-30v over pins 1 and 3, then they bridge 1 and 4 according to limit detection.
This differs from simple switches typically wired, and I seek advice as to how to wire these properly. For reference I include a pic of the schematic from Centroid.

Have you identified if it I Npn or Pnp? You can use either but they wire differently. See diagram under Centroid schematics S15178

I have the same switches. They are N.O switches Npn, refer to the S15178 pdf, which shows the wiring to AcornSix

Hi,
I have wired these, and the estop, according to the S15178 schematic.
I do not have the "Com 5-9" wired in as a ground in any manner like the schematic, just the ground coming from the VDC input to acorn board. I fear that wiring both will create a ground loop, eh? I am not sure, but please advise if I should. The green sketch in the screenshot below is informative to this question.

When running the PLC diagnostic dialog box, I do not get any indication of change from changing the status of the homing switches, or estop.
The estop wiring is functional, according to voltimeter, etc.
The pepperyl/Fuchs sensors light up appropriately at the sensor's amber light.
When checking the input #8 (estop) against ground for voltage, it seems like an open circuit, which I would assume it would show +v on the IN8 to be reactive to the ground.
Is there an input activation step that I am missing?
Any other continuity checks I should do relating to the input pins and grounds, etc?
This is likely a simple matter, which I am missing, any ideas?
FYI I have the servo drives all working, as well as the spindle, and output relays, i.e. other aspects of this install are functional presently.

You need to connect +24V to the "Com1-4" and "Com5-8" terminals.
There is no internal connection through the AcornSix board to the logic supply common. Input circuits are intentionally isolated from on-board logic.
